Howling Moon Deluxe vs Wild Land Lite Cruiser 120 XL
The Howling Moon Deluxe and the Wild Land Lite Cruiser 120 XL are both softshell tents in the same part of the market, which makes them a genuine head-to-head rather than a comparison across categories. Howling Moon and Wild Land take noticeably different approaches to the same problem.
The Lite Cruiser 120 XL is 14 kg lighter at 34 kg against 48 kg, which on a factory roof rated for 68 to 75 kg is often the difference between a legal fit and a rack upgrade. Floor area is close to identical at 2.88 m² and 2.76 m², so neither wins on sleeping room. Headroom separates them further: 120 cm in the Deluxe against 100 cm, which is the difference between sitting up to dress and doing it lying down. List prices are within $29 of each other, so price is unlikely to decide this one.
Canvas differs too: 380gsm military-spec poly-cotton canvas, fluorocarbon impregnated against 210D ripstop poly-oxford 3000mm silver-coated outer; 190g rip-stop polycotton PU2000mm inner; 210D poly-oxford PU2000mm floor; 600D oxford PU5000mm cover.

Which one to pick
Take the Lite Cruiser 120 XL if your roof load limit is the binding constraint. Beyond that the feature rows below — heater port, skylight, annex, cargo rails — are where the remaining difference lies.
