Cascadia Vehicle Tents Mt. Hood 2 Tent vs Gordigear Mulloway
The Cascadia Vehicle Tents Mt. Hood 2 Tent and the Gordigear Mulloway are both hardshell tents in the same part of the market, which makes them a genuine head-to-head rather than a comparison across categories. Cascadia Vehicle Tents and Gordigear take noticeably different approaches to the same problem.
By the numbers, the Cascadia Vehicle Tents Mt. Hood 2 Tent brings 135.89 cm of headroom and sleeps 2. The Gordigear Mulloway counters with 79 kg, 2.86 m² of floor, 140 cm of headroom and sleeps 2.
Setup is not close. The Mulloway opens as a pop-up in 30 seconds; the Mt. Hood 2 Tent takes 3 minutes. Over a trip with a new campsite every night, that gap compounds. Their list prices are within a few percent of each other, so price is unlikely to decide this one.
They open differently: the Mt. Hood 2 Tent is a clamshell and the Mulloway a pop-up. That is not cosmetic — it decides whether headroom is even across the tent or tapers towards one end, and how much of the roof the tent occupies when closed. The Mt. Hood 2 Tent uses aluminum; the Mulloway uses aluminium 18 mm honeycomb core with aluminium planking. Canvas differs too: 280GSM polyester (600D Oxford cover) against 320 gr/m2 ripstop polyester-cotton blend, polyurethane impregnated and UV resistant.

Which one to pick
Take the Mulloway if you move camp most days. Beyond that the feature rows below — heater port, skylight, annex, cargo rails — are where the remaining difference lies.
