Eezi-Awn Sword Family vs Wild Land Skyera
The Eezi-Awn Sword Family and the Wild Land Skyera are both hardshell tents in the same part of the market, which makes them a genuine head-to-head rather than a comparison across categories. Eezi-Awn and Wild Land take noticeably different approaches to the same problem.
By the numbers, the Eezi-Awn Sword Family brings 100 kg, 3.8 m² of floor and sleeps 4. The Wild Land Skyera counters with 100 kg, 4.7 m² of floor, 119 cm of headroom and sleeps 3.
Inside, the Skyera gives 4.7 m² of sleeping floor against 3.8 m², about 24 percent more, and it sleeps 3 to the Sword Family's 4. Their list prices are within a few percent of each other, so price is unlikely to decide this one.
They open differently: the Sword Family is a clamshell and the Skyera a pop-up. That is not cosmetic — it decides whether headroom is even across the tent or tapers towards one end, and how much of the roof the tent occupies when closed. The Sword Family uses aluminium hard-shell with one-piece hinge mechanism; the Skyera uses transparent anti-UV polycarbonate (PC). Canvas differs too: 260 g/m² Teflon-coated polyester ripstop against 280g rip-stop polycotton PU2000mm. Closed, the Skyera sits 6 cm lower on the roof — 32 cm against 38 cm — which is drag you carry on every mile you are not camping.
